More than 300 million people in China smoke over 500 million people are endangered by the second hand smoke
At the third China health education and health promotion conference held, Yin Li, Vice Minister of Ministry of Public Health, reveals, our country smokes at present the number of people exceeds 300 million, account for the whole world smoke 1/3 of total number, over 500 million people that second hand smoke endanger. Smoking can initiate many kinds of diseases. The materials reveal, our country dies of nearly 1 million persons who smokes relevant disease every year, account for 12% of all death toll, exceed because the total of AIDS, pulmonary tuberculosis, traffic accident and suicidal death toll. Yin Li says, including smoking, hypertension, overweight, lacks the intaking amount of physical exertion and vegetables fruit and insufficient, etc, it is the important dangerous factor of causing chronic disease, these factors all relate to unhealthy life style and eating habit. To a great deal of health problems, advocate rational diet, aggressive sport, keep the optimistic psychology, let everybody understand the reason of eating little salt, consuming oil few, eating few candies, doing more physical exercises through the popular science in a more cost-effective manner, establish the scientific health idea, form healthy life style and behavior. Yin Li says, the health education is improving the whole people's health accomplishment and playing an important role, hygiene workers should popularize health knowledge to people. Do a good job of health education, inoculate social vaccine like the whole people, it is an important link that disease is prevented and cotrolled. Let the people understand the health, have disease few, even does not have disease, it is the suitable national conditions of our country, solve hygiene resources and supply the insufficient effective way.
